Summary

An Icelandic SME is offering a highly novel automatic disinfection system for the food industry. The system is environmentally friendly and delivers broad-spectrum anti microbial control. Its unique cloud technique enables the system to reach places that is normally hard to disinfect. Advantages over conventional methods are reduced usage of water, disinfectants, energy and manpower and reduced cost. The SME is looking for technical cooperation or Commercial Agreement with technical assistance.

Full description

The Icelandic SME is a 10 year old company, and its research team has developed a revolutionary disinfection system designed for maximum results in fighting bacteria, as well as algae and fungi. The system can be applied in all the different sectors of the food industry (warm and cold environments), from the food production to live stock farms. The system has been setup in the Icelandic food industry with great results, i.e. see the table below. The system has mostly been setup in seafood processing plants but also poultry slaughterhouse. Negotiations are currently ongoing with companies in the UK. The system can be tailored to different customer needs. Transportable systems are also available.

The system uses a unique atomization technique that produces a dense fog of disinfectants. Due to the fog, the system is effective regardless whether surfaces are inclined upwards, downwards or horizontally. Units which are difficult to disinfect with traditional methods are therefore easily disinfected with this 360° method, such as processing machines, conveyor belts and other units/surfaces hard to reach. Due to the density of the fog, even bacteria, fungi and algae in the air is eliminated. The process is computer logged and reported, so all disinfectant acitivy can be throughly traced to see where errors or mistakes might have occured.

The chemical products are gentle on people and the environment, contain no chlorine, no caustic soda or harmful chemicals and enable a dramatic redcution in the use of water, energy and resources. The sanitizer leaves a long-lasting anti-microbial film on the surface that keeps on destroying microbes after it dries, for days, weeks and even months.

The system is very easy to install and is a combination of control box, tubes and clusters plus access to water, compressor and electricity. The system can be fully automatic or semi manual. The system can serve multiple rooms, and different timing can be set in different rooms, or the same timing for the whole area.
