The purpose of this ADS Northern Ireland event, being run in conjunction with the UK's Aerospace, Aviation & Defence Knowledge Transfer Network (AAD KTN) is to provide Northern Ireland Industry with a briefing on Research and Innovation opportunities in the Aerospace and Defence Sectors. This will include an overview of the Technology Strategy Board programmes and funding. The AAD KTN will be outlined together with an overview of EU Research opportunities in Aerospace.
17/01/2012 - 18/01/2012 Prague, Czech Republic In March 2012 ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking is expected to launch its Call 2012 for project proposals. To help with the preparation of drafting proposals and search for the right consortium partners, ARTEMIS Industry Association organises the ARTEMIS Brokerage Event in Prague at Cortinthia Hotel. This 2-day international event will take place on Tuesday 17 & Wednesday 18 January 2012. And, about 250 participants from all over Europe are expected to attend this event.
What is an ARTEMIS Brokerage Event?
It's an event that gives the chance to meet consortium partners and drafting project proposals with the starting consortia. The event is also an important indication for public authorities to sense the field of interest in advance. Furthermore it informs on the Draft Annual Working Programme 2012 (AWP2012) for the ARTEMIS Call 2012 and gives updates on the timeframe and procedure for the Call.
ARTEMIS Innovation Pilot Programmes (AIPP's)
Part B of the Draft Annual Working Programme 2012 (AWP2012-part B) focusses on the new concept of the ARTEMIS Innovation Pilot Programmes (AIPP's), as an addition to Part A of the AWP 2012 that focusses on the well known ARTEMIS Sub-Programmes (ASP's).

The purpose of the FET FP7 - Call 9 Information Day is:
To provide up-to-date and first-hand information on the 4 FET initiatives in FP7-Call 9. Contractual, legal and administrative modalities will be also covered. A Q&A session will ensure that participants don't leave the event with unanswered questions.
To facilitate the formation of consortia for proposals to the Call, and to promote synergies and collaborations across proposers through an open exchange 'Proposers Forum'. To this end, participants are encouraged to lay out their ideas for possible proposals, identify the expertise they are seeking for, or simply express their intention of getting involved in a consortium.

Belfast Invest Northern Ireland, in conjunction with NOF Energy, is offering Northern Ireland businesses the chance to learn more about the workings of, and the supply chain opportunities represented within, the UK Oil & Gas industry.
A workshop will explore opportunities which exist in project management, major contracting, design engineering, asset and operational management, design and manufacturing of advanced equipment, research and development, training and education, professional and financial services.
This free workshop, which will be of interest to NI companies across a wide range of sectors including general engineering, aerospace, automotive, general manufacturing, electronics, ICT, civil engineering, professional services and construction, will take place on the 25 January 2012 in the Ramada Hotel, Belfast from 08:30-11:45.

What is IAPP?
Industry-Academia Partnerships & Pathways (IAPP) is a sub-programme of the FP7 Marie Curie People programme which provides support for researcher mobility and career development. IAPP constitutes a unique opportunity for a company and a public research organisation to work together on a common R&D project and create partnerships to increase skills exchange between the two sectors.
The next IAPP call will have a budget of €80 million and will close on the 19 April 2012. Join us on the 27th January to find out how you can access this funding!

What does the IAPP funding cover?
- 100% of the salary costs of seconded staff. Seconded staff can be researchers, technicians and managers of all levels of experience
- Organisation of workshops and conferences to facilitate sharing of knowledge
- Recruitment of experienced researchers from outside the partnership
- For SMEs: research equipment (up to 10% of the EC contribution for each SME participant) on a duly justified basis
Who should attend?
The event will be of interest to companies and research organisations interested in working in collaborative research projects. IAPP follows a bottom-up approach, i.e. there are no pre-defined priority areas. Research fields from any domain of research and technological development.are chosen freely by the applicants.
