<description><![CDATA[<p>Over the coming four years, EuroBioForum will organise annual meetings in which the challenges of the field of Personalised Medicine will be analysed and discussed, and goals for the future will be set. The focus of every annual meeting will be different and will elaborate on the previous meetings. The preliminary thematic approach is:</p>

	2013: Big data &amp; Personalised Medicine<br>

<p><strong>EuroBioForum 2012: Perspectives from funders and regions</strong><br>
	The objective of EuroBioForum 2012 is to provide insight in current national and regional policies, funding instrumentation and strategic agendas in Personalised Medicine. Participants are able to meet other players in the field of Personalised Medicine and learn from each other&rsquo;s experiences and set up new networks for cooperation.</p>
<p>Presentations by leading experts will offer a snapshot of current national and regional policy developments and funding instrumentation for research and innovation in Personalised Medicine. The meeting will serve as a forum to exchange views on:</p>
<ul>
	<li>the state of affairs in policy development and deployment</li>
	<li>the challenges that are out there with respect to policies and finance</li>
	<li>the potential areas for transnational and regional collaboration</li>
	<li>networking and joint actions to be developed</li>
</ul>
<p>The annual meetings are intended especially for representatives of national governments, regional goverments, bioclusters, regional development agencies, funding agencies, national research councils, learned societies, industrial federations and patient fora.</p>

	The Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) ICT Policy Support work programme supports the realisation of European policies and in particular the Digital agenda for Europe and is aligned with its priorities. It aims at stimulating smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth by accelerating the wider uptake and best use of innovative digital technologies and content by citizens, governments and businesses.</p>
<p>This year the main focus will be on the following five themes:</p>

<p>The aim of this morning course is to provide an overview of the 7th Framework Programme to all interested researchers, including &#39;newcomers&#39;. The course describes the structure and terminology of FP7 to EU policies, the common problems in proposal writing and the success criteria for proposals. The course provides tips on how to collect information, how to select strategic partners and how to avoid duplication in proposal writing. The final section describes a strategy for proposal writing.
